Il colore è di un bel rosso rubino intenso, scuro, limpido e consistente.

Il naso tradisce immediatamente un contenuto alcolico importante che è però gestito discretamente. Il profilo olfattivo ci rivela che siamo alla presenza di un Cabernet Franc sul quale l’appassimento delle uve ha giocato un ruolo importante. Il frutto non gioca un ruolo principale. Sono invece le note suadenti e morbidissime dell’appassimento che dominano. Un profilo olfattivo che ricorda la visciola sotto spirito, la prugna, il tabacco, il cacao. Poi, sfumature mentolate e balsamiche che virano verso linee dolci e morbide. Naso intenso, di buona complessità e finezza.

Un Cabernet Franc che si mostra caldo, allargandosi prepotentemente nel cavo orale. Dotato di una buona freschezza e persistenza, è un vino che fa di tutto per piacere, tentando di catturare l’attenzione avvolgendo ogni sensazione gusto-olfattiva in un tessuto fatto di suadenti e delicati movimenti.

Mi chiedo perché il nome “Insolente”. Mi aspetterei un Cabernet Franc aggressivo, spigoloso, irriverente. Ed invece sto assaggiando un vino che fa della piacevolezza e della morbidezza le sue doti migliori. Più che insolente mi sembra infinitamente rassicurante.

Non consiglio questo Cabernet Franc a chi è alla ricerca di un vino più vibrante e tagliente. Va benissimo invece se siete davanti ad un camino acceso in una fredda giornata invernale. Ottimo anche per un momento di riflessione dopo i pasti.

On the contrary, the persuasive and soft notes of the withering dominate. An olfactory profile that recalls sour cherry in spirit, plum, tobacco and cocoa. Then, menthol and balsamic nuances that turn towards soft and gentle lines. Intense nose, of good complexity and finesse.
A Cabernet Franc that shows itself warm, expanding powerfully in the oral cavity. Equipped with a good freshness and persistence, it is a wine that does everything for pleasure, trying to capture attention by enveloping every taste-olfactory sensation in a silk cloak made of suave and delicate movements.
I wonder why the name “Insolente”. I would expect an aggressive, angular, irreverent Cabernet Franc. And instead I’m tasting a wine that makes pleasure and softness its best qualities. More than insolent it seems to me infinitely reassuring.
I do not recommend this Cabernet Franc to someone looking for a more vibrant and cutting wine. It is fine though if you are in front of a fireplace on a cold winter day. Also great for a moment of reflection after meals.
